Karaoke Version Reviews

Still an aspiring musician into my mid-sixties now, I’ve spent years trying to figure out songs and sort out some kind of backing but never successfully. Enter KARAOKE VERSION, which makes this so accessible.

QUALITY: I’ve bought several tracks now and on the whole they are Excellent. Certainly, the best value for money around at just a few £s for something like ‘Parisienne Walkways’ an all-time favourite, is mind-blowing. That said, some are better versions of songs than others, but they are never that far off so you always get the essence of each cover song. Another instance is, that recently I was attempting to learn the Johnny Cash version of ‘We’ll Meet Again’, but on hearing Karaoke’s Vera Lynn version bought that instead as it’s so darn good, and almost teleports me back to the late ‘30s and ‘40s.

WHAT YOU GET: The site is very transparent, the songs can be auditioned with which players you want, and I guess you could even insert them into a DAW to manipulate or mute the players and parts you might want to learn, if they conflict with parts like solos or riffs, that you are unable to sing and play at the same time. The key changes though need to be close, because I think it fair to say as in most cases, that if you try a key too far removed it is noticeable in the sound and starts to become affected, but again, how dare I complain when after all, I rarely try a song that isn’t close to my key to start with to preserve some originality etc.
The download is sorted within a few moments of payment, and it’s very straightforward to go back and snaffle a different set of musicians should you wish to learn different parts or players.

VALUE: Yes, you may find better quality recordings out there, but they are expensive and still might not fit the bill after being custom assembled, so all in all, I’d say this site is a FAB little find, and I for one shall be returning over the years to this ready-made session band.

I love the way that you come so close to the original structure and sounds of all the songs I chose to purchase. Also, to know that if I want to remix a certain way, I can do it online quickly. I also love the fact that if I need to go back all my files that I have purchased are still available. One last thing is that I love how you notify me when some of the purchases I have made in the past have been upgraded, and I can easily download the upgraded version. Keep up the good work KV.

First and foremost, the customer service response has been fantastic whenever I've had any questions. The selection is phenomenal, The newer songs that they are releasing are great and of so many different genres, and they have quite a number of songs that other karaoke production companies had never released, and they are constantly updating. The fact that they are producing tracks by request is absolutely amazing as well. Now I have noticed some lyrical errors, however I have also noticed errors in karaoke songs from the prior biggest brands in the karaoke industry when everything was disc-based, (I own well over 100,000 digital karaoke files, from multiple brands of karaoke companies), karaoke version is by far the most responsive karaoke company I've ever dealt with, In the even have an area for you to report lyrics that may be incorrect. I think karaoke version is the absolute go to for anybody who wants a great quality, instrumental or karaoke version of the hottest songs.

I’ve managed to get quite a few of my song requests produced by Karaoke Version and they’ve all been great quality. I’ve recently voted for another track and it’s currently in production can’t wait to buy it when it’s done keep up the good work.

karaoke Version is easy to navigate and download songs. I love that it keeps all the songs I purchased for download if I should need to download again. Has the best variety of songs. I've been using these tracks for the last 6 years. Love the versatility of being able to omit various instruments as well as the ability to change key. Only issue is the quality of some tracks, however, customer service seems to be addressing this if customers make them aware.

I have used midi-files in the past. The Karaoke files that can be edited are of far better quality. Karaoke-Version has been responsive to any issues that I have had. I have purchased hundreds of files. There are a few that I am dissapointed in, but most have worked really well. I' wish there wwas a better "Rewards Program" for users like myself.

I have used Karaoke Version for a few years. I Love the fact that the individual tracks can be edited and even transposed. I mainly use them to play along on guitar and find them especially useful for isolating individual parts, in order to learn.

Ease of purchase & quality of most tracks. Various options.

I made a foolish error during my purchase. Edward at customer care was unbelievabe and was able to rectify the problem I had. As a professional wedding singer, I have used Karaoke version for years to purchase my backing tracks and would NEVER go anywhere else. The fact that you can also modify the key once you have purchased the track is an added bonus. You can also opt to have backing vocals on or off on most tracks, which gives a song more depth and authenticity.
